Spring 2025 in NJ: Elite Tuner Season Opener, an AE86 and a Supra MK4

Winter went fast. By March the club was back out: a season opener, two very different Toyotas, and a Cars & Coffee teaser. Here's the spring of 2025 as it happened on @redlined.cc.

Elite Tuner Season Opener, New Jersey

Elite Tuner puts on car shows, and their New Jersey Season Opener was the club's first big day of the year. In the club's words:

Huge thank you to the organizers, the hosts, the slammed chupapis, the chucheros, the drift team, the bikers, the 2 steppers, and everyone who showed up and showed out y'all made a weekend worth remembering. 🫂

The lot had a bit of everything: a slammed orange Honda wagon under a roof box, a purple widebody 86 with a wing to match, a green Civic hatch with its hood up and purple wheels, a red MR2, a red RSX, a lifted Ford, a Hummer H2 with its doors raised, a gold 911 and a row of bikes. Swipe through:

Dreams built, not bought: the AE86

Dreams built, not bought. 🛠️ Late nights, endless effort, and a whole lotta passion turned this AE86 into a masterpiece. Huge shoutout to @fapauto for keeping our builds running strong!

If you don't know the AE86: Toyota built it from 1983 to 1987 as the Corolla Levin (fixed headlights) and the Sprinter Trueno (pop-ups), and it was the last Corolla with rear-wheel drive. Light, rear-driven and powered by a free-revving 1.6-litre twin-cam, it became the car Keiichi Tsuchiya, the "Drift King", made famous. Then Initial D put one in the hands of a tofu delivery driver and turned it into a legend. Demand got so high that enthusiasts nicknamed the price premium the "tofu tax".

The fourth-generation (A80) Supra ran from 1993 to 2002. The twin-turbo version's 2JZ-GTE made 321 hp in export trim. Video by @peterabdelphoto.
